देहरादून। राज्यसभा चुनाव में उत्तराखंड से भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेंद्र भट्ट उम्मीदवार होंगे। रविवार को पार्टी हाईकमान ने उत्तराखंड समेत सात राज्यों में राज्यसभा चुनाव के लिए उम्मीदवार घोषित किए हैं। भट्ट का राज्यसभा जाना तय है। विधानसभा में भाजपा के पास प्रचंड बहुमत है। भाजपा ने राज्यसभा चुनाव के लिए उत्तराखंड, बिहार, छत्तीसगढ़, हरियाणा, कर्नाटक, उत्तर प्रदेश और पश्चिम बंगाल से उम्मीदवारों की घोषणा की है। उत्तराखंड से भाजपा ने कई दिग्गजों को हटाकर प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेंद्र भट्ट को उम्मीदवार घोषित किया है। 2022 के विधानसभा चुनाव में बदरीनाथ सीट से चुनाव हारने के बाद भी पार्टी हाईकमान ने भट्ट को प्रदेश भाजपा की कमान सौंपी थी। अब उन्हें राज्य सभा चुनाव के लिए प्रत्याशी बनाया गया। 70 सीटों वाली विधानसभा में भाजपा के पास 47 सीटें हैं।
राज्यसभा चुनाव में बहुमत भाजपा के पक्ष है, जिससे भट्ट का राज्यसभा जाना तय है। बता दें कि प्रदेश से राज्य सभा सांसद अनिल बलूनी का कार्यकाल समाप्त हो रहा है। राज्यसभा सीट के लिए मतदान 27 फरवरी को होगा। 15 फरवरी तक राज्यसभा चुनाव के लिए नामांकन होगा। 16 फरवरी को स्क्रूटनी होगी। 20 फरवरी को नाम वापसी का अवसर मिलेगा। 27 फरवरी को सुबह नौ बजे से शाम चार बजे तक विधानसभा में मतदान होगा। शाम पांच बजे से मतगणना होगी।
