देहरादून। शासन ने नगर निकाय सामान्य निर्वाचन 2024 कब तहत नगर पालिका एवं नगर निगम आरक्षण नियमावली 2024 जारी कर दी है। राज्य के 102 नगर निकायों में ओबीसी आरक्षण नियमावली जारी होने के बाद जनवरी में चुनाव सम्पन्न होने की उम्मीद जग गई है।
गुरुवार को ही शासन ने निकायों में ओबीसी आरक्षण को लेकर नियमावली जारी की है। सम्बंधित जिलों के डीएम आरक्षण की अधिसूचना पर सुझाव व आपत्ति मांगेंगे। इस कवायद के पूरी होने के बाद जनवरी में निकाय चुनाव की अधिसूचना जारी की जाएगी।
उल्लेखनीय है कि प्रदेश में स्थानीय निकाय का कार्यकाल दिसंबर 2023 में समाप्त हो गया था। स्थानीय निकायों में प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों को प्रशासक बनाया गया है।
