नई दिल्ली। उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर बैठे कुछ लोगों की संविधान और भारत के प्रति अनभिज्ञता पर दुःख और निराशा व्यक्त की। उन्होंने कहा, “उन्हें भारत के बारे में कुछ नहीं पता, उन्हें हमारे राष्ट्रीय हितों के बारे में कुछ नहीं मालूम है। वे यह नहीं समझते हैं कि इस देश की सभ्यता 5000 साल पुरानी है।”
संसद भवन में राज्यसभा इंटर्नशिप कार्यक्रम के तीसरे बैच के प्रतिभागियों को संबोधित करते हुए, उपराष्ट्रपति ने संविधान के निर्माण की प्रक्रिया की सराहना की और कहा, “संविधान का निर्माण 18 सत्रों में बिना किसी व्यवधान, गड़बड़ी या नारेबाजी के किया गया था। यह तीन वर्षों की अथक मेहनत का परिणाम है।”
उन्होंने संविधान की प्रस्तावना के महत्व पर बल देते हुए कहा, “हम भारत के लोग इसके स्रोत हैं। हम इसे न्याय, स्वतंत्रता, समानता और बंधुत्व के लिए अपनाते हैं। कोई इस देश के बाहर बंधुत्व को तोड़ने की कल्पना भी कैसे कर सकता है?”
आरक्षण के मुद्दे पर, उपराष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि यह संविधान का एक जीवंत पहलू है और कुछ लोग इसे हल्के में लेते हैं। उन्होंने युवा प्रतिभाओं और नागरिकों को विभाजनकारी तत्वों के खिलाफ एकजुट होकर काम करने का आह्वान किया और कहा कि राष्ट्रवाद को परिवार, स्वयं और राजनीति से भी ऊपर रखना चाहिए।
उपराष्ट्रपति ने स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के बलिदानों को याद करते हुए कहा, “हम अपने राष्ट्रवाद का उपहास नहीं कर सकते। माताओं और पत्नियों ने युद्ध में अपने प्रियजनों को खोया है। हमें अपनी चुप्पी को तोड़ना होगा और राष्ट्रवाद के प्रति अपने समर्पण को बनाए रखना होगा।”
उन्होंने राजनीतिक दलों से अपील की कि वे संविधान और कानून के दायरे में राजनीति करें, लेकिन राष्ट्र को कमजोर न करें। उपराष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि राज्यसभा इंटर्नशिप कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य एक विशेष भावना को जागृत करना है, जो भारतीय संसद और भारतीय राष्ट्रवाद से जुड़ी हो।
इस अवसर पर राज्यसभा के महासचिव पी.सी. मोदी, सचिव राजित पुनहानी, अतिरिक्त सचिव डॉ. वंदना कुमार और अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति भी उपस्थित थे।
