देहरादून। प्रदेश की खेल मंत्री रेखा आर्या ने देर शाम दिल्ली में केंद्रीय युवा मामले एवं खेल मंत्री डॉ. मनसुख मंडाविया जी से भेंट की। इस मुलाकात के दौरान रेखा आर्या ने सबसे पहले केंद्रीय मंत्री जी का, राज्य को सौंपी गई 38वें राष्ट्रीय खेलों की मेजबानी के लिए आभार प्रकट किया और इन खेलों के सफल आयोजन के लिए उनसे मिल रहे मार्गदर्शन के लिए उनको धन्यवाद दिया। इसके बाद दोनों नेताओं के बीच राष्ट्रीय खेलों के आयोजन से जुड़े विभिन्न विषयों पर चर्चा हुई। रेखा आर्या ने केंद्रीय मंत्री को खेलों की तैयारी के बारे में बताया और कहा की प्रदेश इस ऐतिहासिक आयोजन को लेकर पूरी तरह से उत्सुक है।
रेखा आर्या की तरफ से केंद्रीय मंत्री से, राज्य सरकार द्वारा पूर्व में सुझाए गए 7 खेलों को राष्ट्रीय खेलों के शेड्यूल में शामिल करने का भी आग्रह किया गया। प्रदेश की खेल मंत्री ने कहा कि योगासन, मलखंभ, राफ्टिंग, पावर लिफ्टिंग, स्पीड क्लाइम्बिंग, कराटे और लागोरी राज्य की खेल संस्कृति का एक अहम हिस्सा हैं और इनके शामिल होने से राष्ट्रीय खेलों की विविधता बढ़ेगी। उन्होंने इन खेलों से जुड़ी तैयारियों और राज्य में बढ़ रही इनकी लोकप्रियता से भी केंद्रीय खेल मंत्री को अवगत कराया। इसके बाद केंद्रीय खेल मंत्री ने, उत्तराखंड के लोगों और यहां के खिलाड़ियों की भावनाओं का आदर करते हुए इन खेलों को जोड़े जाने का आश्वासन दिया। आपको बता दें कि 38वें राष्ट्रीय खेलों का आयोजन 28 जनवरी 2025 से 14 फरवरी 2025 तक होना है और यह पहली बार है जब उत्तराखंड इन खेलों की मेजबानी करने जा रहा है।
